Liturgical Leaders
I have come ‘not to be served, but to serve’ – Mark 10:45
At St. Joseph’s students have the opportunity to become ‘liturgical leaders’ and undertake liturgical ministries leading our Collective Worship.
Liturgical leaders are involved in leading music for Masses, Collective Worship assemblies and Celebrations of the Word.
They are also involved in being Altar Servers for whole year group or House Masses and the weekly Parish Mass on a Tuesday at St. James’ RC church.
Our Altar Servers undertake formation both in practising for this ministry and through practical learning during Masses themselves.
Students are commissioned into this ministry and they also have the opportunity to undertake ministries such as the distribution of the holy Ashes on Ash Wednesday to Senior Leaders, staff and students.
We are truly proud of all those who undertake this amazing ministry.
